Margaret Manning is an entrepreneur, author and speaker. She is passionate about building dynamic and engaged communities that improve lives and change perceptions. Margaret is the founder of Sixty and Me, a community dedicated to helping women over 60 create independent, healthy and financially secure lives. Sixty and Me empowers and motivates women to find their own voice and value in a transitional time of life that offers so much new opportunity. Margaret is a marketing consultant with 25 years’ experience working with companies like Microsoft and Siemens to design creative marketing campaigns and effective communications strategies. In 2013, she organized TedXNewham – an event featuring an honest, real-life exploration of what it means to be resilient in today’s world. Margaret lives her life mostly as a verb – thinking, learning and creating. She loves action words like energy and catalyst and describes herself with a few adjectives like bohemian and cultured. Nouns include mother, traveler, writer and maverick. Her passion is to weave the sentences into stories that motivate and inspire.
